Installation of the day

During the height of the pandemic, daily routines took on new meaning as the world slowed down, and our surroundings became our entire universe. "Bartan 2020" is a reflection of this time, where the mundane activities of everyday life—cleaning, organizing, and simply maintaining our living spaces—became acts of both necessity and contemplation.
This painting captures the vibrant chaos of a kitchen sink filled with utensils, dishes, and containers, each piece a witness to the repetitive yet grounding rituals that defined those days. The bold colors and dynamic brushstrokes convey a sense of frenetic energy, mirroring the internal turbulence many of us felt, juxtaposed with the calmness of routine.
Without the usual outlets for creativity, such as exhibitions and gatherings, this work became an intimate exploration of my immediate environment, turning the ordinary into a subject of artistic inquiry. In a time of isolation, "Installation of the Day" speaks to the shared experience of finding beauty and meaning in the everyday, reminding us that even in the smallest, most overlooked moments, there is depth and vibrancy to be found.
Where it's been: Been exhibited at Toronto Outdoor Art fair.
